The have some major decisions to make this offseason. After winning Super Bowl 60, the Seahawks are set to lose some key players this offseason. None has taken center stage quite like Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III has. The odds he leaves in free agency seemingly increase as the new league year approaches. And a recent contract projection from doesn't bode well for Seattle in keeping Walker. The beloved running back received a difficult $39 million contract projection, which spells bad news for the Seahawks. Verderame Nick Cicek Jersey lists the Seahawks as one of the two landing spots for Walker this offseason, which seems to indicate a reunion is po sible. But, a $39 million contract projection over three years, which comes out to $13 million per-season, doesn't bode well for Seattle retaining Walker. The 25-year-old running back ran for 1,027 rushing yards last season, including five touchdowns in a split-backfield with Zach Charbonnet. Losing Walker would sting in a big way for the Seahawks, but if this $39 million projection comes true, the Seahawks will have a hard time keeping him. They aren't going to have a lot of money to work with, as the ma sive Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Devon Witherspoon contracts will make their cap space tight going forward. The Seahawks need to save money wherever they can, and re-signing Walker doesn't seem like a very high priority when considering the positional value and how easy it can be to find a solid running back for cheap in free agency or the NFL Draft.
